Accounting Systems-Sr. Level Opportunity

Join an accounting operation on the move at Conseco's Chicago office. We're seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented individual with strong analytical ability and excellent communication skills for our accounting controls area. Working in a project management role, you'll oversee our accounting systems to ensure data integrity. This includes performing workflow analysis, systems conversions, and working with our automated ledger system. Some supervisory responsibilities will be required. You'll also act as a liaison between Accounting and our IT and service areas.

The job's essential functions require experience working with accounting systems and mainframe ledger packages. A Business degree with accounting emphasis is also required. Business analyst or operational auditing experience is preferred. Insurance experience, MBA and/or CPA is a plus.

We are looking for an individual with experience on any or all of the mainframe, AS/400 and PC platforms who would like the challenge and variety of working and learning in a multi-platform environment. The individuals that are brought aboard must work independently and also enjoy working as part of a group.
