Job Responsibilities: Supervise adjudication of LTD and Workers'
Compensation Claims for the Employee Benefits Disability Claim Team. Provide
efficient technical and systems support for staff. Effectively manage the

GAAP policy and communicate their status to the Investment Division. As the
pronouncements solidify, the individual will work with the affected areas to
assess the implications of the change and define policy which is best
appropriate for the circumstances. The individual will ensure that the
financial implications have been properly reflected in planning outlooks and
will work with the Investment Division Reporting area to implement the
necessary reporting changes.
BS/BA required, MBA/MS preferred, CPA required, CFA candidates
preferred. This position requires an individual with a significant amount of
financial/accounting experience in public accounting and insurance (6+
years) with knowledge of GAAP and STAT accounting principles, related to
investments, whether established by FASB, the SEC, NAIC, or any of the other
various accounting bodies (EITF). As the position requires an in-depth
knowledge of investment related accounting policies, experience in an
investment financial reporting area is critical.

The incumbent will be required to provide broad business expertise, and
all levels of research/analysis including automation analytical support for
complex Commercial Lines business issues. They will provide advice,
direction and support to our business partners, and to their teammates. They
will ensure that business requirements are met through development and
maintenance of automated systems. They will provide all levels of support
for customer specification development including planning, analysis, and
testing. They will provide insurance and business analytical support to
internal and external task forces and committees as well as being an
Actuarial Services Data Management representative to other divisions. They

activities. The selected candidate will be encouraged to pursue an IDMA
professional designation (CIDM for Consultants and AIDM for Business
Analysts).
3 - 5 years working as a Business Analyst / Consultant. A college degree
or commensurate experience is required. Noted achievements supporting
business and automation abilities must be documented. Position requires
proficiency in business analysis, automation analysis, and problem solving
with an emphasis on Commercial Lines Insurance. Ability to understand the
business context and system and procedural impacts of requests for products
and services is required. Understanding of Field and Home Office workflows
and bureau requirements is a plus. A broad knowledge of insurance systems
and how data flows through organizations is helpful. Strong written and
verbal communication skills, the ability to lead projects through all
project phases, as well as strong teamwork skills are essential. A
willingness to handle any task with a just-do-it attitude is vital, along
with the ability to work independently, mentor / train others, and be
self-motivated.
